Information

A magnetic calculator, MAGSPEC, can simply calculate the magnetic field required for designing a magnetic application product.
The values calculated by this magnetic calculator are approximate and reference values. We are not responsible for the results from the reference values.
When using the calculated values for actual magnetic application products and research and development of the application of magnetic products, use these values as reference values.
Formulas used in the magnetic calculator are originally made based on the experiences of the magnetic manufacturers. Formulas used for calculation vary according to each manufacturer, and are not standardized in the magnetic computer field.
Information on these magnetic characteristic values is subject to change without notice due to improvements, etc. Refer to the updated information for details of improvements, and the date of the improvement.

Instruction

The material characteristics are the data of the base material plates which are inspected prior to fabrication.
The magnetic characteristics are the product characteristic data where samples, which are the final dimension after fabrication, are inspected.
As these characteristic values vary depending on the usage environment, set environment data based on the actual usage environment and then calculate the characteristic values.
Set the following items for the usage environment.

Working environment

Setting Environmental conditions
Gap (G)
Gap (G) When comparing the used tesla meter, check the thickness of the hall element of the probe and adjust the gap (G) of the measurement point.
The initially gap setting is the point of 0 mm.
Used temperature Check and adjust the temperature of the environment actually used. The temperature initially set is the normal temperature of 20°C.
Magnetic circuit When samples are set on the magnetic body, determine the presence or absence of a yoke, and the shape of the magnetic circuit. When samples are set on the magnetic body, the magnetic characteristic values become higher. The yoke used should be soft magnetic material with a high magnetic permeability, and a magnetic body which is thicker than the samples.

Accuracy and tolerance of calculation

Characteristics Tolerance
Magnetic flux density ±20%
Suction power ±20%
Usable temperature ±20%
Permeance Coefficien ±20%
